The Dallas Cowboys made a few midweek roster moves, highlighted by a new addition to their practice squad.

The Cowboys have signed offensive tackle Marcellus Johnson to their practice squad, the team announced Wednesday. Johnson has suited up on other NFL practice squads in the past, recently spending time with the Indianapolis Colts.

Johnson, who finished his collegiate career at Missouri, signed with the New York Giants after going undrafted in 2024. He was released from the Giants’ practice squad in September 2024. Johnson quickly signed with the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad that same month.

The offensive lineman rejoined the Giants in October 2024 after he was released by the Vikings. When the 2024 season ended, he went on to sign a reserve/future contract in Minnesota in January. The Vikings released him in August, giving him the opportunity to sign with the Colts.

Dallas recently lost an offensive lineman from its practice squad in Geron Christian. Christian signed to the Denver Broncos’ active roster earlier this week.

The Cowboys also officially placed safety Juanyeh Thomas on the reserve/non-football illness list. Thomas is dealing with migraines and is expected to miss the next four games with the reserve designation.
