Greater Cincinnati has a wide range of pizzerias to satisfy everyone’s taste buds, but not all of them serve up single slices.

Trophy Pizza

Trophy Pizza was born in 2023 with the dream of bringing authentic New York slices to the Queen City. The pizzeria serves up freshly made dough using a “secret recipe straight from New York,” according to its website.

Although the restaurant primarily serves slices of pizza, they also make whole specialty and classic pies. They also offer salads, cheesecake and chocolate chip cookies.

Guardia Pizza

  • 3200 Lindwood Ave., Mount Lookout.

Trevor Snowden, owner of Delwood and Parkside, opened a new restaurant concept, Guardia Pizza + Bar on July 24, according to a social media post from the restaurant. The space, which is just a few doors down from Delwood, has been home to three other pizzerias in the past, including Lucy Blue, Bub’s and, most recently, Pizza Bank.

“When the opportunity arrived to take over the spot next door, we jumped on it!” Guardia’s website reads.

Guardia serves fresh, handmade pizza that’s reminiscent of some of the owner’s favorite slice shops in New York City, combined with a friendly neighborhood bar.

The restaurant offers various salads, build-your-own pizzas, signature pizzas and, of course, pizza by the slice. Soft serve ice cream is also available for those with a sweet tooth.

Fratelli’s

A hole-in-the-wall pizzeria, Fratelli’s, is an independent, locally owned family business that makes its dough daily from scratch, cooks its own sauces and blends its own salad dressings. According to the restaurant’s website, Fratelli’s recipes come from family members who have been making pizza in Brooklyn, New York and New Jersey for over 30 years.

Aside from its pizza by the slice – sold until 2 p.m. Friday-Sunday – Fratelli’s offers a wide range of Italian specialties, such as ziti, ravioli, spaghetti, chicken parm and eggplant parm. They serve appetizers, sides, hot sandwiches, salads and more.

Ramundo’s Pizzeria

Ramundo’s Pizzeria was established in 2000 on a “few simple ideas,” the restaurant’s website reads. Founder Gino Ramundo wanted to provide Cincinnati with something unheard of at the time: New York-style pizza by the slice.

The pizzeria has three locations, which offer the same meal options. Ramundo’s offers appetizers, soups, salads, pizzas, subs, calzones, desserts and a munchkin menu for the little pizza lovers in your life.

Aside from its single slices, Ramundo’s offers combos for its New York-style pizza. You can get two slices and a drink for $9.99 to $11.99, depending on what pizza you order. Or, you can get one slice, a salad and a drink for $11.99 to $13.99.

Goodfellas

Goodfellas was founded by Alex Coats and Eric Boggs in 2006 in Lexington, Kentucky, according to Pizza Today magazine. The restaurant has since expanded, opening 12 restaurants across Indiana, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio.

The pizzeria, which has three locations in Greater Cincinnati, hand-tosses its fresh dough, uses house-made sauces and stone-bakes every pie, adding authenticity to its New York-style pie. Aside from pizza, Goodfellas offers sides, calzones, subs, salads, desserts and cocktails.

Roc-A-Fellas

Roc-A-Fellas first opened its doors in the heart of Sharonville in 2006. In 2014, brothers Alex and Michael Ioannu “took a leap of faith” and purchased the restaurant from its original owners, the restaurant’s website reads.

Like most pizzerias, Roc-A-Fellas serves appetizers, such as garlic knots, salads, sandwiches, calzones, desserts and … pizza by the slice. Slices are sold daily for dine-in or carryout, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Mikey’s Late Night Slice

Nothing beats eating a slice of pizza during a late night out, and Mikey’s Late Night Slice does just that. The Columbus-based restaurant, which stays open until 2:30 a.m. on weeknights and 3 a.m. on weekends, primarily serves New York-style pizza by the slice, along with a few other dishes you’d typically find in a pizza shop.

The restaurant, which only has one Cincinnati location, serves various specialty pizza slices, with prices ranging from $5.65 to $5.90, depending on what you get.

Brooklyn Pizza and Pasta

Who says you can only get great New York-style pizza on the East Coast? Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta has been serving the Queen City with “real-deal thin crust for years,” the pizzeria’s website states.

Brooklyn Pizza & Pasta offers several single slice options, ranging from $2.99 to $3.25. It also offers several two-slice combo meals that come with a drink. These range from $6.99 to $7.99. Garlic knots, strombolis, lasagna, cannolis and zeppoles are also on the menu.

Your Mom’s Pizzeria

Your Mom’s Pizzeria is a charming restaurant in Mount Adams that crafts its pies with a special blend of mozzarella and provolone cheese, “along with our family recipe pizza dough,” its website reads.

The pizzeria serves Sicilian-style pizza by the slice for $5 (cheese) and $5.50 (pepperoni) and big New York slices for $4 (cheese) and $4.50 (pepperoni). It also offers specialty pizzas, salads, garlic knots, pepperoni pinwheels, sweet treats and more.

Lucy Blue Pizza

Jim Thompson first opened Lucy Blue as a late-night pizza window at 12th and Walnut in Over-the-Rhine in 2001. Since then, Lucy Blue has opened several locations, but currently serves out of two: Over-the-Rhine and Anderson Township.

“Being family owned and operated, our goal has always been to serve a fresh, great-tasting pizza while providing our patrons with a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere to socialize and enjoy all that Lucy has to offer,” the pizzeria’s website reads.

Although both locations sell pepperoni and cheese pizza by the slice, their pricing varies, with Anderson Township selling slices for $3, while the Over-the-Rhine location sells slices for $4.
