An early morning fire damaged a downtown Winnipeg business on Friday.
Emergency crews were called to La Roca restaurant and bar, at Smith Street and York Avenue, just before 6 a.m.
They found smoke and flames on the exterior of the building and worked to keep the fire from getting inside, a news release from the city said.
At one point there were 13 emergency response units at the fire, according to the city’s incident response website.
Parts of Smith, between York and St. Mary Avenue, were blocked by police as fire crews extinguished the flames.

No information on the cause of the fire or amount of damage has been made available.
No injuries were reported, the city’s news release said.
