Last time out: UC San Diego improved to 3-0 under first-year coach Clint Allard with a 78-73 win at Fresno State Wednesday night. The Tritons led by as many as 13 points in the first half and finished the game with 12 3-pointers. Three transfers again paced UCSD: junior forward Leo Beath (Lynn University) had 22 points and 7 rebounds, junior guard Tom Beattie (Hawaii) added 13 points and sophomore guard Alex Chaikin (Lafayette) chipped in 11.

Series history: The Tritons rolled to an 80-56 win last season in Idaho. The Vandals have a 2-1 advantage overall, although the teams are 1-1 as Division I opponents.

Vandals notes: Idaho will be wrapping up a two-game trip to San Diego. The Vandals suffered a 78-74 loss at USD on Wednesday night. Idaho features two players from San Diego County: junior guard Kristian Gonzalez from Mater Dei Catholic High School and guard Isaiah Brickner from St. Augustine High School. Idaho is led by freshman forward Jackson Rasmussen, who is averaging 18.0 points per game.

Tritons notes: UCSD is 29-4 in its last 33 home games. The Tritons have won 14 straight regular season games and are 21-3 during the 2025 calendar year. Beath leads UCSD with 17.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, while Beattie is averaging 15.3 ppg and Chaikin 11.3 ppg. Newcomers Beath, Beattie, Bol Dengdit. Emanuel Prospere II and returner Aidan Burke have started all three games thus far.
