PHOENIX — Authorities issued a SAFE Alert on Friday for a missing 17-year-old boy last seen Thursday night.
The Phoenix Police Department is looking for Tristan Whitworth, who was last seen walking in the area of 28th Street and Sweetwater Avenue at 9:15 p.m.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety said Tristan has a medical condition that can make him appear lost or confused.
Tristan is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, according to the alert.
When he was last seen in Phoenix, he was wearing a gray T-shirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
Anyone with information that can help police find Tristian is urged to call 602-262-6151 or 911.
SAFE Alerts have replaced Silver Alerts in Arizona as a way to spread the word about missing persons 65 and older and missing persons of other ages who suffer from dementia or developmental/cognitive disabilities.
