The holiday season is here. If you’re in need of a little extra Christmas spirit this year, cheer up at our favorite holiday pop-ups in Houston. Decked in over-the-top tinsel, lights, and ornaments, and serving up a flurry of themed cocktails over holiday tunes, these Christmas bars in Houston are here for the holidays.
Holidaze at GreenStreet is going big for its debut this holiday season. Kicking off late November, the new Christmas activation is poised to transform four blocks of Downtown, Houston into three-levels of holiday activations, pop-up bars, and Christmas Card-worthy photo-ops.

The largest holiday pop-up in Houston is back for its second year. Taking place in East Downtown, Frosty’s is a two-story holiday haven bustling with roaming Christmas characters, dancing Santa Clauses, and life-size nutcrackers. Furthermore, the venue features three separate bars offering whimsical cocktails inspired by classic Christmas movies.

The OG holiday pop-up experience is set to take over three Houston-area bars this holiday season with over-the-top decorations, Christmas jams, and themed cocktails.

6. Blitzen’s
Set to make its Houston debut this holiday season, Blitzen’s is a ritzy holiday pop-up at La Reserve in OMNI Hotel. Patrons can expect whimsical holiday decor and themed cocktails curated by celebrity mixologist, Julie Reiner of Netflix’s Drink Masters fame.

7. Shiver’s Ice Bar at ICE LAND
Carved out of the frozen playground at Moody Gardens’ ICE LAND, the largest ice sculpture attraction in the U.S., Shiver’s Ice Bar is a one-of-a-kind holiday experience in the Houston area that’s made of… well, ice. Here, patrons can enjoy holiday spirits that includes ice-block vodka shots.

8. Holiday Hideaway at Chicken N’ Pickle
The Houston-area’s expansive pickleball venue and restaurant will once again convert its space into a Holiday Hideaway. Inspired by the cozy, nostalgic ski lodge experience, the 21+ pop-up features a cozy atmosphere of lodge vibes alongside 12 holiday cocktails, summit/rooftop views.

Add a little rhythm to your holiday season at Havana Holiday. Taking place at Emilia’s Havana, a Cuban-inspired cocktail lounge and venue from BERG Hospitality Group, Havana Holiday offers an array of special themed cocktails – shoutout the Santa Clausmopolitan – with a backdrop of bossa nova. Full dinner menus are also available Thursday through Saturday throughout the event’s run.

10. Jingle and Mingle at Lyric Market
Downtown, Houston’s Lyric Market will once again fill its halls with whimsical festive decorations for its annual Jingle and Mingle experience. In an atmosphere of holiday cheer, the market will also feature an array of seasonal cocktails, tasty eats, and special events.
