PHOENIX — The holidays are set to return to the West Valley next week in the form of Desert Farm Lights, an event with more than one million twinkling lights.

The event was started by Valley blogger and mother Shanelle Kunz in 2022 and continues to grow.

“The Desert Farm Lights team is thrilled to help craft magical Christmas memories for families from the West Valley and beyond,” Kunz said in a release. “There is no holiday offering like Desert Farm Lights, and we hope that this year’s expanded attraction and entertainment offerings continue to cement us as a can’t-miss holiday tradition for everyone.”

It’s located in Surprise and the entrance is at the intersection of Reems and Hatcher roads.

The main attractions are the farm’s famous Candy Cane Maze and Igloo Experiences.

Visitors can choose between the easy and hard versions of the maze that takes people through a winding, sparkling journey through an acre full of wonder.

Three Igloo Experiences offer exclusive seating and provide yard games, a personal food and beverage attendant and a starter pack of s’mores for groups of friends or family.

Igloo reservations can be booked ahead of time on the Desert Farm Lights website.

The millions of twinkling lights are spread throughout other attractions such as the Jolly Journey train ride, ice skating rink, horse-drawn orchard ride, illuminated trees and other displays.

Children can partake in activities like a 90-foot slide and bungee trampolines and even take photos with Santa… or the Grinch.

If you want to enjoy the night with a movie, Frosty’s Winter Wonderland plays every hour starting at 6 p.m.

Food and beverages are available for additional charges at various locations throughout the farm.

There is also a gift shop to pick up ornaments, presents or stocking stuffers.

The event runs from Nov. 21 through Dec. 28 from 5-10 p.m. and ticket prices start at $22.95.

We want to hear from you.
