WANA (Nov 16) – Media sources report that a resident of the occupied territories has been charged with cooperating with Iranian intelligence.

Israeli media reported that a serious security case was revealed this morning, in which Shimon Azarzar, a 27-year-old resident of Kiryat Yam, was accused of working for Iranian intelligence organizations for nearly a year.

The investigation into this case was carried out by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency).

Israeli authorities claim that the suspect had direct contact with Iranian agents.

The charges include transferring images and coordinates of Israeli military bases and sensitive sites inside the occupied territories to Iran.

According to the investigation, the suspect was assisted by another person, who was a reserve soldier in the Israeli Air Force. The second suspect has reportedly been arrested and interrogated.

Earlier, the Israeli Army Radio claimed that since the start of the Gaza war, Israeli intelligence agencies have arrested dozens of Israelis on suspicion of cooperation with Iran.
