HOUSTON – Three people, including two Houston police officers, were injured in a crash in Southwest Houston.
Police said a man driving on South Gessner Road was making a left turn into an apartment complex near South Braeswood Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.
It collided with a police unit that was travelling northbound on South Gessner Road.
The police unit went through a gate and hit an apartment building.
The two police officers and the other driver were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
“Our DWI DRE specialists are at the hospital with him, and we are unable to tell you right now if there’s impairment involved,” said Sgt. R.A. Dallas.
Sgt. Dallas said the police officer didn’t have on their lights or sirens at the time of the crash.
It was unclear who was at fault.
