PHOENIX — A man was taken into custody Tuesday morning after telling officers at a Phoenix police precinct that his girlfriend was dead in his car, authorities announced.
Around 5 a.m., the man flagged down an officer outside of the Maryvale precinct, near 59th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard, and told the officer about the woman’s body, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Officers then checked the vehicle and found the woman’s body, which showed obvious signs of trauma.
The man was taken into custody and told officers where the woman was allegedly killed.
Officers have secured both scenes. An investigation into the woman’s death is underway.
