The holidays are fast approaching, and the need for food assistance is greater than ever. That’s why we’re partnering with the San Antonio Food Bank for the Food 4 SA Drive to collect food and raise money for local families. Eric Cooper from the Food Bank and Brandy Ralston-Lint from Security Service Federal Credit Union joined us to share how you can help.
Of their 4-million-pound goal, the Food Bank has already collected 3 million pounds, but the food is going out just as fast as it comes in. This weekend, you can donate a frozen turkey at any H-E-B Plus location as part of their effort to collect 16,000 turkeys for families in need.
San Antonio is known for its spirit of giving, and this is one of the quickest ways to make a real impact. If you can’t donate food, you can contribute money online or volunteer your time to help.
Every pound counts, every dollar matters, and every act of kindness helps make the holidays brighter for someone in need.
