SAN ANTONIO – A SWAT team stormed a Northwest Side motel late Wednesday night, taking a suspect into custody in connection with an early morning kidnapping, according to police.
The raid happened just before 11 p.m. at the Motel 6 off Wurzbach Road near Interstate 10.

Snipers were spotted on the roof of a nearby Wendy’s, and flash bangs went off as team members kicked in the door to one of the rooms.

One person was detained at the scene. The victim, identified as Destiny Ferdin, was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
Flash bang grenades were seen being used as SWAT team members kicked in the door of one of the rooms. A person was seen in custody and the victim, identified as Destiny Ferdin, was taken to the hospital.
Authorities issued a CLEAR Alert for Ferdin after she was reported kidnapped around 5:30 a.m. from a home on Labor Street near East César E. Chávez Boulevard. According to investigators, a 35-year-old man allegedly forced her into a white 2000 Dodge Ram and drove off.
