Popular dining reservation website OpenTable just released a new list of the top 100 restaurants for 2025 — and more than a dozen of them are in Chicago.
The list, released Tuesday, was “driven by diner demand,” the site said. It was compiled after combing through more than 10 million verified reviews, using metrics including diner ratings, reservation demand and percentage of five-star ratings.
Overall, the “list highlights some of the top spots favored by diners this year.”
The list isn’t a ranking, editors said, and is arranged by state and restaurant name. In Illinois, 16 restaurants made the cut, all of which were in Chicago. The selections range from fine French dining to burgers, fries, pizza, ramen and more.
Here’s which 16 restaurants from Chicago were among the top 100 in the country, according to OpenTable:
- Akahosi Ramen, Logan Square
- Alla Vita, West Loop
- Daises, Logan Square
- Elina’s, West Town
- Gibsons Italia, Fulton River District
- Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steam & Stone Crab, River North
- Le Colonial, Near North Side
- Mon Ami Gabi, Lincoln Park
- Noriko, Fulton River District
- North Pond, Lincoln Park
- Pizz’amici, West Town
- Pizzeria Portofino, River North/Riverfront
- RL Restaurant, Streeterville
- Rose Mary, Fulton Market
- Topo Gigio, Old Town
- Valhalla, Wicker Park
The list from OpenTable comes as Chicago also added more Michelin stars to restaurants for 2025, including Feld, earning one Michelin star, and Kasama, earning a second Michelin star.
