The third major storm to hit San Diego County in a week will push ashore Thursday night and drop up to an inch of rain at the coast and possibly twice as much in the mountains, where the highest peaks could also get a dusting of snow, the National Weather Service said.
Most of the precipitation will fall before noon on Friday, with sporadic showers continuing into Saturday, when daytime high temperatures will be cooler than normal.
The weather will turn warmer on Sunday, and temperatures could be five degrees higher than average on Thanksgiving Day.
Since the rainy season began on Oct. 1, San Diego International Airport has recorded 2.93 inches of rain, which is 2.02 inches above average. Oceanside has received 3.35 inches, which is 2.30 inches above average. And Ramona has gotten 2.66 inches, which is 1.38 inches above average.
