With just over two weeks remaining until the 12-team College Football Playoff bracket is released, time is running out for teams to make a last-minute impression to secure an at-large spot in the field.
One of those teams that will likely have to win out and get some help along the way is No. 13 Miami. Because the Hurricanes have two losses in ACC play, reaching the conference title game — and therefore getting into the CFP via an automatic bid — is very unlikely. Miami is in action against Virginia Tech in the first window of the day. No. 1 Ohio State will also be playing Rutgers at home.
The game with the biggest CFP stakes will see No. 15 USC travel to Eugene, Oregon, to face the No. 7 Ducks (3:30 p.m. ET) on CBS. The winner of this game will likely have the inside track to receive an at-large berth to the CFP. In the same window, No. 17 Texas faces Arkansas.
The headliner of the late window in college football is a matchup between No. 11 BYU and Cincinnati. The Cougars are on track to face Texas Tech in the Big 12 title game. Texas Tech and BYU are the only teams from the conference with just one loss against Big 12 competition.
CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the evening. All times Eastern
