A storied country club is ready for a fresh chapter in The Villages.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for 10 a.m. Monday at Palmer Legends Country Club.
It’s hard to believe that the country club and championship golf course named in honor of Arnold Palmer are now more than 20 years gold. The King was in Florida’s Friendliest Hometown in 2003 to celebrate the opening of the course.
Palmer Legends Country Club opened in 2003.
After more than two decades, the country club has had a full renovation including a new bar, new decor, fresh paint and new fireplaces.
Palmer Legends is now being operated by the Suleiman family which runs several other restaurants and country clubs in The Villages.
The Suleimans have updated the menu, which prominently features steak and seafood.
The back patio at Palmer Legends Country Club is a favorite gathering place for golfers.
While there have been some notable upgrades, some old favorites remain, notably the country club’s famous happy hour and the outdoor patio where golfers have gathered for many years.
