Suns’ Dillon Brooks shares the last time he lacked confidence
Dillon Brooks scored a season-high 32 points in just 28 minutes in the Phoenix Suns’ win against the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 13, 2025.
The NBA fined Phoenix Suns forward Dillon Brooks $35,000 for “confronting and directing inappropriate language toward game officials” after a 114-113 comeback win on Nov. 21 against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Mortgage Matchup Center.
Brooks fouled out of the game with 18 seconds left with a team-high 22 points and Phoenix down a point. Collin Gillespie hit a short pull-up with 6.7 seconds left as the Suns closed on a 9-0 run in the game’s final 49 seconds.
Brooks was hit with a $25,000 fine for “making a lewd gesture on the playing court” with 54 seconds left in the first half of Phoenix’s 133-98 home win Nov. 13 over the Indiana Pacers.
In his first season with the Suns, Brooks leads the NBA in technical fouls with four through games played through Nov. 19.
Fine amounts for the first through fifth technical fouls are $2,000 each.
The fine amounts increase to the point that a player receives a $5,000 fine plus a one-game suspension when reaching 16 technical fouls.
Last season, Brooks finished second to T-Wolves All-Star Anthony Edwards in technical fouls with 16 in 75 games. Edwards racked up 17.
Brooks was with the Houston Rockets. The Suns landed Jalen Green, Brooks and the 10th overall pick in the 2025 draft, 7-footer Khaman Maluach, from Houston in the Kevin Durant trade.
