A 23-year-old Toronto man, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for over a year, was arrested Friday, according to Toronto Police.

Around 11:20 p.m. on Friday police found and arrested the accused, who was in a car near Bathurst Street and Dupont Street, police said in a news release on Saturday.

A firearm and ammunition were also found, police say. The accused is now facing several firearm charges, including illegal possession, according to the Saturday release.

The man was wanted for breaching parole and was on the BOLO Program‘s Canada’s 25 Most Wanted list.

Ontario Provincial Police posted on social media in August 2024 asking for the public’s help finding the man, who was serving a five-year, five-month and ten-day sentence at the time for firing a gun with intent and robbery with an illegal firearm.
