SAN ANTONIO – Mayor Jones is seeking answers following a federal raid at a Northside business last week.

The raid, which took place last Sunday on San Pedro near Basse, resulted in the detention of more than 140 people. Officials stated that the operation targeted members of the Venezuelan “Tren de Aragua” gang, classified as a narco-terrorist organization by the federal government.

Mayor Jones said her office has sent a letter to the head of the South Texas Homeland Security Task Force, seeking more information about the status of those detained. The letter also requests an update on meeting public safety and trust standards.
