A murder investigation has been launched after a young, up-and-coming singer was fatally shot in a parked car in Los Angeles in the early hours of Saturday, police said.
Maria de la Rosa, 22, who has released music as DELAROSA, was identified by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) on Monday, as one of several victims targeted by what witnesses described as two male suspects who approached a vehicle and opened fire in an ambush-style attack.
The incident took place around 1.25 a.m. on November 22 in Northridge, near Bryant Street, east of Tampa Avenue. Police said the motive was unclear and no arrests have been made.
The outlet KTLA has reported that two other victims were in critical condition as of Saturday morning.
