PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A day after releasing a new logo, the Phoenix Mercury are expanding their brand refresh with new uniforms.
The Mercury on Tuesday unveiled the newest Heroine and Explorer edition uniforms to debut in 2026. The new fits feature the modernized brand to usher in a new generation while still honoring the team’s past.
The white jersey, or Heroine edition, displays “MERCURY” across the chest, while the purple jersey, or Explorer edition, has a bold “PHOENIX” wordmark.
The numbers on the new uniforms are printed in the team’s original typeface. The Mercury said it’s the first time in franchise history that the numbers will be printed in the team’s own font.
The team’s newly introduced “psychic purple” color is used to outline the wordmarks and numbers.
The shoulder straps on the new jerseys mirror the accents on the Mercury’s inaugural uniforms. The back of each jersey has a patch honoring the Mercury’s three championships.
Flipper’s will remain the Mercury’s jersey patch partner into the 2026 season. Fry’s Food Stores, which has been a longtime partner of the Mercury, will have its logo featured below the number on the front of the jerseys.
Fans can buy new Explorer edition jerseys starting in spring 2026. Merchandise featuring the new logo is now available at the Team Shop at Mortgage Matchup Center and on the Phoenix Mercury’s online store.
