“I’ve been so focused on my career my whole life, but when I had a family and got married, I realized that there’s so much more to life. And that was great,” the Grand Slam champion explained to PEOPLE in January 2021.
When announcing Adira’s birth, Ohanian showed his gratitude to his wife, referring to Williams as the “GMOAT” (Greatest Mother of All-Time) in a social media tribute.
Just three months after Adira’s arrival, the sporting star also shared how her elder daughter was adjusting to being a big sister.
During an appearance at 2023’s CDFA Awards, Williams told Entertainment Tonight that Olympia was “loving” having a sibling. “Adira’s like a tiny little baby, so Olympia just calls her her little sis,” she added to the outlet.
Williams also explained that although Olympia “prayed for a sister” Williams herself was a little “worried” about how she would adjust ahead of Adira’s arrival.
“I was like, ‘OK, I don’t know if I can like anyone as much as I love Olympia,'” Williams said. “I was really nervous about that. But I feel like it all worked out.”
