SOUNDVIEW, Bronx (WABC) — A 39-year-old livery cab driver was found stabbed in his vehicle in the Bronx early Wednesday in a case being investigated as road rage.

The victim, Osei Kusi, was found with multiple stab wounds to back and lower abdomen just after 2:30 a.m.

He was taken to Jacobi Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Kusi was found in a Toyota SUV with a TLC livery license plate at Randall Avenue and White Plains Road.

Officials say the stabbing is being investigated as a road rage that started at White Plains Road and Story Avenue.

The unidentified suspect was stopped at a green light when the livery driver aggressively went around him, cutting him off.

The suspect followed him and police say the suspect knocked on the victim’s window.

Kusi exited the car and the two got into a verbal dispute.

The victim said he did not want to fight but police say the suspect then stabbed him and fled.

“This was an attempted murder and a danger to every New Yorker. Someone out there knows something and must come forward,” said New York State Federation of Taxi Driver spokesman Fernando Mateo.

NYSFTD is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
