SAN ANTONIO – A gunpoint robbery at a major intersection is leaving police with more questions than answers.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, around 2:15 am on Nov. 29, a 33-year-old man reported that while stopped at the intersection of Cupples Rd. and Hwy 90, a dark-colored SUV pulled up behind him.
The driver of the SUV exited the vehicle, confronted him, and a physical altercation ensued. The victim claimed the suspect displayed a weapon, entered his vehicle, and fled the scene.
A witness at the scene informed officers that the suspect’s vehicle was driven by a second individual who followed the victim’s vehicle south on Cupples Rd.
Despite a thorough search of the area, officers were unable to locate the suspects or the stolen vehicle.
Complicating the investigation, the victim later provided information that conflicted with his initial account to the officers. The San Antonio Police Department continues to investigate the incident, noting that details may evolve as the case progresses.
