HGTV star Hilary Farr wants her fans to know that she is doing well after recent reports suggested otherwise.

“Taaa-daaa! I’m alive. Very, very, very much so alive and well. I’m happy to say,” the “Love It or List It” alum said in an Instagram video on Wednesday.

As she spoke, she shared a blown-up version of a news report behind her that showed alleged pictures of her sick and with an oxygen tank on her face, with bold text that read: “She might not make it.”

“Look at this thing,” Farr motioned to the report, before asking, “Really?” It’s so badly done. It’s crazy AI stuff,” she confirmed.

The TV-famous British-Canadian designer continued: “I hope none of you would really take any of this seriously and realize that it is just fake beyond words.”

She continued: “Well, I’m here to prove that. So, just checking in. All’s good with me; hope all’s good with you.”

The 74-year-old’s update came after she revealed to People in 2021 that she had breast cancer.

At the time, she explained she was diagnosed with the illness in 2014 and then underwent three lumpectomies and radiation. She is currently in remission. The fake news report that Farr showed had mentioned her cancer.

In addition to the “she might not make it claim, the fake report also read: “The physician caring for Hilary Farr’s cancer has provided a devastating update on her health. ‘She might never be seen on TV in the future.’”

Farr has stepped out of the spotlight in the past few years. Best known for her 19-season run on “Love It or List It” alongside co-host David Visentin, she announced she was leaving the show in December 2023.

She also began starring in her own HGTV show, “Tough Love with Hilary Farr,” which premiered in 2021 and ran for two seasons. Right now, it’s unclear if the show has been canceled or if it will return for more seasons in the future.

In the comment section of the video, fans rejoiced at Farr’s update. “Always love to see you alive and well and thriving!” wrote one person.

Another said, “I’m so relieved and grateful that you’ve set the record straight. It’s awful what some people have chosen to do with AI.”

A third comment read, “We love you on ‘Love It or List It.’ Glad you’re doing great and looking fabulous!”
