Philadelphia police are searching for the thieves who stole personal items, equipment, and a private vehicle from firefighters.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police are searching for the thieves who stole personal items, equipment and a private vehicle from firefighters in the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood while they were busy battling a deadly blaze.
The crews had responded to a fire at a home at 33rd Street and Ridge Avenue on Friday evening.

A man in his 40s died, while two others escaped the flames.
Officials say an electrical issue caused the fire.
As crews were working to douse the flames, someone went through their gear, taking personal items including keys and a firefighter’s car that was parked back at the station.
