PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Phoenix police said a man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in an uptown intersection Monday afternoon.
Authorities responded to the area of 7th and Missouri avenues around 1:20 p.m. for reports of a person being hit by a car. Paramedics arrived and rushed the man to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators said the driver involved stayed on scene and that impairment doesn’t appear to be a factor. Detectives are on the way to learn what led up to the wreck.
Drivers are asked to avoid the intersection as it will remain closed while police conduct their investigation.
