SAN ANTONIO – A brief high-speed chase Thursday ended with two people in custody and a stash of stolen credit cards, IDs, narcotics, and a fabricated mailbox key, deputies said.
Bexar County Sheriff’s official said deputies spotted a blue vehicle speeding on the Interstate 35 frontage road near Rittiman Road. When the driver noticed law enforcement, he sped up to 65–70 mph, prompting a short pursuit.
The suspects, a man and a woman, attempted to hide the vehicle in some brush in a nearby neighborhood before running off. Both were apprehended shortly afterward.
The driver faces a felony possession of a controlled substance charge and had a previous evading arrest warrant. Authorities recovered 15–20 stolen credit cards, multiple IDs, narcotics, and a fabricated mailbox key from the vehicle. No weapons were found.
