“I mean, L.A. has been both of our homes for over 20 years,” O’Connor, 36, said of her and Manganiello, 48, in an interview with People published on Thursday, December 4. “I was born in L.A., but raised in Pittsburgh, so we’re both from the same hometown.”
The “Magic Mike” alum added that the pair share a connection, and it was something the two of them bonded over and are thrilled to be “back home.”
“That’s what we really connect on, you know, we share the same upbringing, the same hometown knowledge. And that’s what really connects us as a couple,” she tells the outlet. “So it’s beautiful to be back home together.”

O’Connor loves how “safe” their new neighborhood is and how the area looks like it’s right out of a “postcard.”
“I’ve never been in a more beautiful neighborhood in Pittsburgh. It’s just idyllic,” she says.
She also notes that the move was not a “sudden” decision, and “We were thinking about it for a while.”
The couple adds that they will have to travel between LA and New York City for work, but their homebase will be in Pittsburgh.

They added that the two of them have been loving the snow at their new home and are enjoying one specific winter activity.
“I mean, I watched Joe shovel snow in our driveway for two-and-a-half hours yesterday. And it was the hottest thing I’ve ever seen,” she jokes.
The duo is also planning on a “big family celebration” for the holidays at their new home, with both of their parents either traveling to Pittsburgh or already living nearby.
Manganiello and O’Connor first sparked romance rumors in September 2023, but didn’t confirm their relationship until December.
