Considered one of the Big Three Democratic strongholds, it’s no surprise where New York lands in the latest Civiqs approval rating of President Donald Trump’s second term.
According to the report released Nov. 29, 31% of registered voters in New York approve of the job Trump is doing in his second term, while 64% disapprove and 5% remain undecided.
How New York compares to the nation
Nationwide, the poll shows that 39% of American voters approve of Trump’s performance, 56% disapprove, and 4% remain undecided. This places New York below the national average in support for the president.
States with lowest Trump approval
While New York ranks low, it is not the least supportive state. That distinction goes to Hawaii, where just 21% approve of Trump’s job performance, 76% disapprove, and 3% are undecided. Vermont follows with 23% approval and 73% disapproval, and Maryland shows 25% approval and 71% disapproval.
States with highest Trump approval
On the other end of the spectrum, Wyoming shows the strongest support for Trump, with 66% approving, 31% disapproving, and 4% undecided. West Virginia follows at 61% approval and 33% disapproval, while Idaho records 60% approval and 35% disapproval.
