Glendale police were called to the area of Olive Avenue and 53rd Avenue for a man on the ground.
GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man has been hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Glendale, police said.
Officers were called to the area of Olive and 53rd avenues around 6:15 p.m. Monday for reports of an elderly man on the side of the road, according to Glendale Police.

Another person told officers it looked like the man had been hit by a car.
When officers arrived, they found the man had been hit by a car and the driver of that car was still on scene.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police are asking drivers to avoid the area.
