Chicago shooting: Joel Quintero Cristian charged with shooting, killing woman in East Side in 9600 Block of S. Avenue N: police

CHICAGO (WLS) — A man has been charged with shooting and killing a woman in a “domestic disturbance,” Chicago police said.

The shooting happened on Monday at about 2:37 a.m. in the 9600-block of S. Avenue N in the East Side neighborhood, police said.

Officers responded to a call of a “domestic disturbance,” and found a 27-year-old woman with multiple gunshot wounds.

The woman died at the scene, police said.

Joel Quintero Cristian, 29, was taken into police custody shortly after the shooting.

He is facing two felony charges for murder.
