STATEN ISLAND, NY — The Richmond County Democratic Party has endorsed three incumbents seeking statewide re-election in 2026.

The party will be backing Gov. Kathy Hochul, Attorney General Letitia James and State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli in their bids for reelection.

Party Chair Charles D. Fall announced the endorsements, saying they reflect the party’s commitment to supporting leaders who deliver for Staten Island families.

“The endorsement of this slate is rooted in the values our community cares about,” Fall said. “Staten Islanders want leaders who protect working families, defend fairness, and put people first. Governor Hochul, Attorney General James and Comptroller DiNapoli have shown that time and again.”

Hochul said she was proud to receive the support as she continues working to make New York safer and more affordable.

“While Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans in D.C. jack up prices and rip away health care, I will keep standing up for New Yorkers and working to put money back in their pockets,“ the governor stated. ”I look forward to building on the progress we’ve made and continue delivering results for every family in Richmond County and across our state.”

Attorney General Letitia James also highlighted her affordability plan, citing her time fighting unfair landlords and corporations, while defending workers.

“I am humbled to earn the support of the Richmond County Democratic Party. As attorney general, I’ve fought predatory landlords, taken on corporations that drive up costs, and worked to make New York more affordable for all who live here,” James said. “I’ve held opioid manufacturers accountable and defended workers cheated out of wages. I will continue to protect New Yorkers on Staten Island and across our state.”

DiNapoli emphasized his role protecting retirement funds and auditing government contracts responsibly.

“I am honored to have the support of Assemblymember Charles Fall and the Richmond County Democratic Party. Staten Islanders work hard for their money, and they deserve a Comptroller who protects their retirement, audits government contracts responsibly, and fights corporate greed on behalf of workers and retirees,” he said.

Fall also stated the endorsements reflect a united effort to strengthen public safety, affordability and opportunity.
