An 18-year-old from East Hempfield Township died late Friday night after a vehicle crash in Leacock Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Benjamin Singer, of Landisville, was driving westbound on Old Philadelphia Pike (Route 340) around 11:42 p.m. when his car left the roadway and struck two utility poles, state police say.
Singer was the vehicle’s only occupant, according to police.
According to a crash report released by state police Saturday morning, Singer’s car came to a stop near Old Philadelphia Pike’s intersection with Old Leacock Road with extensive damage on all sides.
Intercourse Fire Company and Garden Spot Fire Rescue responded to the scene and assisted with removing Singer from the vehicle.
Singer died at the scene as a result of injuries suffered in the crash, state police said.
