Dallas Trinity FC got its third win in a row with a 1-0 home victory over Carolina Ascent FC. The win continues a strong run of form for Dallas following a lengthy winless streak.

Midfielder Lexi Missimo’s 64th-minute goal was the difference in a tight affair between two teams in the top half of the league table. Missimo, a Southlake Carroll and Texas product, got her first goal of the season in her second game back after missing 12 matches through injury.

“I’m just so thankful and excited to be back on the pitch. To be able to contribute a goal to this team is everything and more. Once we get our groove, I think this team will strive,” Missimo said.

Trinity goalkeeper Rylee Foster kept a clean sheet on a day when Dallas surrendered 20 shots, including four on goal. Conversely, Dallas was clinical in the final third, scoring with its only shot on target of the afternoon.
