Department of Labor and Regulation to Host “HR Department of One” Session | Local News

{KXLG – Watertown, SD} The South Dakota Department of Labor and Regulation (DLR) announced it will host its next Workforce Knowledge Series session, focusing on strategies for professionals managing Human Resources (HR) responsibilities independently. The virtual session, titled “HR Department of One: Strategies for Success,” is scheduled for Thursday, July 10, at 11:30 a.m. CDT/10:30 a.m. MDT via Microsoft Teams.

This free event is specifically designed to equip solo HR departments with practical tools to effectively navigate critical areas, including compliance, hiring, and strategic planning.

Advanced registration is required for the session. Interested participants can register by clicking the “Register Now” button on the DLR’s Event Calendar Entry. Registrants will need to use their mySD single sign-on credentials. Following registration, attendees will receive an email invitation containing a link to the Microsoft Teams session and a separate calendar invitation.

The Workforce Knowledge Series is an ongoing initiative by the DLR, designed to share expertise on various employment topics. The series offers valuable tools and resources to help businesses address common workforce challenges, including recruitment, retention, and operational efficiency.
