After a dreary, cold Sunday, North Texas will see similar weather on Monday before a big warm up arrives later this week.

Monday morning temperatures dropped below freezing in many areas with some areas reporting temperatures in the 20s, the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office said.

Temperatures are expected to top out only in the low 50s Monday although sunnier conditions are expected, the weather service said.

Overnight low temperatures will range in the low 40s, according to the weather service.
