Safety tips and things to know

Arlington police encourage visitors to plan their visits to Interlochen during the week as weekends tend to have higher traffic volumes and longer wait times.

It is required that traffic keep right at all times, police said, so that the left lane can remain open for emergency vehicles and Interlochen homeowners.

Here are other tips for your visit to Interlochen:

  • Arlington police are asking that adults and children be secured in their seat belts and child safety seats at all times.
  • Have patience, police said, and expect to wait in a line to get into the neighborhood. Once you’re in the neighborhood, you will not be allowed to pass other vehicles.
  • Police recommend using the bathroom before getting in line and packing snacks and drinks to take with you, because if you leave the line for any reason, you will have to go to the back of the line to reenter.
