It’s been a busy year in TV news in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Here are some of the biggest moves and departures, broken down by station.

Fox 4

Hanna Battah, an anchor on the weekday morning show, announced her departure in October after more than seven years at the station. She is now a co-anchor for ABC’s World News Now and Good Morning America First Look. Eden Checkol took over for her at Fox 4 after being at WPLG Local in Miami.

Evan Andrews, the weekday morning meteorologist, retired in October after more than 25 years at the station. Ali Turiano, a meteorologist at the station since 2014, took over the morning shift after Andrews’ retirement.

Meteorologist Dylan Federico left the station in July after a two-year stint and joined WSVN in Miami. Meteorologist Julia Fife came to Fox 4 shortly after Federico’s departure. She had been at Fox 13 in Memphis.

WFAA

Cleo Greene, a weekend morning anchor, said on social media in January that her position was being eliminated. She had joined WFAA in 2018. In February, she became a host of NBC 5’s lifestyle show.

Kyle Roberts, a weekend morning meteorologist, left the station in January after more than eight years there. Meteorologist Cassie Heiter arrived at WFAA in January from News 9 in Oklahoma City and took over the weekend morning weather duties.

Jane McGarry left WFAA early this year after serving as a co-host of its lifestyle show on weekday mornings for 12 years.

NBC 5

Evan Anderson said on social media in November that his position as a reporter and weekend morning anchor was eliminated. He had been with the station since 2017.

Keenan Willard announced in November that he was departing NBC 5 for a role at NBC Los Angeles and Telemundo 52.

CBS News Texas

Nicole Baker, an evening anchor, said on social media in October she lost her job during layoffs at Paramount Skydance, the station’s parent company. She had been with the station for over three years.

Scott Padgett, the station’s chief meteorologist for almost a decade, left in May for a position on CBS New York’s First Alert Weather team. McKenna King took over as chief meteorologist in June. She had joined the station in January as its weekday evening meteorologist.

Meteorologist Erin Moran left CBS News Texas in February after more than five years there. Lauren Bostwick joined as weekend meteorologist in June after freelancing for the station.

Meteorologist Brittany Rainey left the station in November after four years for a job at Nashville’s News Channel 5. Meteorologist Michael Autovino arrived at CBS News Texas that same month from Spectrum News in New York.

Telemundo

Enrique Teutelo, an evening news anchor, left the station in June after 11 years there.
