Re “Rob Reiner comments show Trump at his worst” (Dec. 17): It was with sadness that I read Nolan Finley’s article criticizing President Trump. Sadness, because Finley was correct. I have supported Trump in his presidential campaigns, but it stymies me that he has to be so brash and unsympathetic. Sure, Rob Reiner was an outspoken critic of Trump — perhaps more so than was prudent — but nobody deserves to die a violent death as Reiner and his wife did. Especially at the hands of their unstable child.
Please, Mr. Trump — find some compassion for others.
