PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A busy west Phoenix intersection is back open after a serious motorcycle crash Thursday morning.
First responders were called to the intersection of 27th Avenue and Buckeye Road for reports of a crash involving a motorcycle just before 7 a.m.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found a motorcyclist seriously injured. The man was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition, according to Phoenix Police.
The driver of the other involved vehicle stayed at the scene to speak with authorities.
When Arizona’s Family crews arrived, a damaged motorcycle was seen blocking the road.
Police closed the intersection for a majority of the morning and reopened the area Thursday afternoon.
