Chicanos Por La Causa’s longest running program celebrated its 57th year of giving back to the community this month.

This year, Angeles del Barrio delivered 5,000 presents to children and teens from various CPLC programs in Phoenix, Tucson, Yuma, Nogales, Willcox, and Flagstaff. Those programs involved included Early Childhood Development centers, De Colores, LUCES, Community Center, Parenting Arizona, and Community Schools.

“The holidays are for everyone. Angeles del Barrio makes that vision possible for the families in our state by creating special moments,” said Alicia Nuñez, President and CEO of Chicanos Por La Causa. “The youth in our programs will never forget the way they felt when they opened a gift that was just for them and spending quality time with their loved ones.”

Angeles del Barrio brought together over 160 volunteers and staff to help collect, organize, and deliver presents and stockings from Chicanos Por La Causa programs all over the state.

Angeles del Barrio is presented by Food City and in partnership with Desert Ford Dealers and HUB.
