Many stores will be closed over the holidays, but some will remain open or have shortened hours. Here’s what’s open and closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for a variety of San Diego County businesses.

Groceries & Pharmacies

Albertsons, Pavilions and Vons

  • Christmas Eve: OPEN 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Christmas: OPEN 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Aldi

  • Christmas Eve: OPEN for limited hours that vary by location.
  • Christmas: CLOSED

Ralphs

  • Christmas Eve: OPEN. Grocery stores open until 10 p.m. Gas stations close at 9 p.m. Most pharmacies close at 5 p.m.
  • Christmas: most stores will be CLOSED

Sprouts Farmers Market

  • Christmas Eve: OPEN 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Christmas: CLOSED

Trader Joe’s

  • Christmas Eve: OPEN until 5 p.m.
  • Christmas: CLOSED

Whole Foods Market 

  • Christmas Eve: OPEN with modified hours for many stores. 
  • Christmas: CLOSED

CVS Pharmacy

  • OPEN Christmas Eve and Christmas, although some pharmacies may have reduced hours. 

General merchandise

  • Christmas: CLOSED

Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods (These are general holiday hours. Specific stores may have different hours.)

  • Christmas Eve: OPEN 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Christmas: CLOSED

Department Stores
