Two people are dead and another was hospitalized following an accident on Interstate 20 early Tuesday morning in Fort Worth, according to police.
Officers were called to the eastbound lanes of W. I-20 at Granbury Road regarding a major traffic accident involving a pickup truck and an SUV at about 2:20 a.m., a statement from Fort Worth police said.
When they arrived, officers found one passenger who had been ejected from a vehicle and died at the scene. Police said both drivers were pinned inside their vehicles.
One of the drivers was extricated and taken to the hospital in critical condition, while the other died at the scene, police said. None of the victims has yet been publicly identified.

The incident prompted lane closures and major delays on the roadway for hours early Tuesday morning.
