It is Van Gisbergen’s first Xfinity Fastest Lap Award of 2025. Since he is not earning championship points in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, that did not earn a bonus point in the drivers’ standings. He, of course, went on to win Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series event for his second victory of the season in that series.
Another road course event awaits both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series. Both series head to Sonoma Raceway in California as part of Toyota / Save Mart 350 weekend.
