A 30-year-old man was arrested in connection with the Dec. 12 shooting in West Fort Worth that left one dead, Fort Worth police said in a statement.

Kareem Hardin was arrested by the Fort Worth Police Department’s Intel and Directed Response Units on Tuesday.

As of Wednesday morning, Hardin remains in the Tarrant County jail with no bail amount set, according to jail records. He faces a capital murder by terroristic threat charge.

It remains unclear if Hardin has an attorney.

West Division officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 6400 block of Wildwood Circle at about 4:40 a.m. Dec. 12, the statement said.

After arriving, officers learned than a man, Lawrence Homan, 24, and woman had driven a female acquaintance to the apartment complex, where she exited the vehicle.

As Homan prepared to drive away, he was approached by Hardin and another unidentified suspect who attempted to enter the vehicle. One of the suspects pulled out a gun and fired, striking Homan, and then fled the scene, according to the statement.

Homan was transported to a hospital for treatment, where he later died.
