The Latino Cultural Center opened its Virgen de Guadalupe Art Exhibition on Dec. 6, and there’s still time to catch the event featuring the work of more than 70 artists as they pay tribute to the traditional depiction of the dark-skinned Madonna.
The exhibit, which was curated by Jose Vargas, features an array of media, including paintings, sculpture and mixed media. The event represents a culmination of nearly 500 years of history and culture.
Admission is free and open to the public. The Latino Cultural Center is a division of the City of Dallas Office of Arts and Culture.
The show runs through Jan. 16. The Latino Cultural Center is closed Sunday and Monday, and is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Holiday hours may vary. 2600 Live Oak St., Dallas. lcc.dallasculture.org
