Officers Responded to a Reported Burglary Attempt at an Occupied Residence on Roscomare Road
Los Angeles police moved two children out of a Bel-Air residence Monday night after officers converged on the property to investigate a reported break-in attempt, as reported by KTLA 5 News.
Police were called shortly before 10:00 p.m. to a home on Roscomare Road near Mulholland Drive, where a caller reported possible burglary activity at the occupied house in the 2500 block.
Footage from the scene showed multiple patrol units and officers approaching the front entrance before entering the property through a gated access point with guns drawn. Soon afterward, an officer carried an infant from the home while another guided a small child outside. The children were then released to adults waiting nearby.
Investigators said two to three suspects were believed to have tried to force their way in by smashing a window at the rear of the residence, though it was not immediately clear whether anyone entered the home. The suspects left the area before police arrived, authorities said.
Officers searched the surrounding neighborhood but did not locate any suspects. No injuries were reported.
