Voodoo 103.7 WFFX Marrero New OrleansiHeartMedia Hot AC “Voodoo 103.7” WFFX Marrero/New Orleans LA came out of Christmas music on Friday, December 26 with a revamped presentation.

Now positioning as “New Orleans’ Feel Good Station”, the music on the station has moved in a decidedly Rhythmic AC direction.

WGNO-TV anchor Lebron Joseph, better known locally as just LBJ, joins WFFX for middays. LBJ spent much of his career in New Orleans radio including time as APD of “Q93” WQUE, Program Director of Adult R&B 98.5 WYLD-FM from 1995-2000, and Operations Manager for the Citadel turned Cumulus cluster from 2000 to 2013 where he also hosted mornings on 102.9 KMEZ turned 106.7 KMEZ. He has been hosting weekends at iHeart’s WYLD-FM since 2015. The syndicated Murphy, Sam & Jodi remains in mornings and Kat Vance in afternoons.

WFFX completed its move into New Orleans in October 2024 resurrecting the “Voodoo” brand that had been heard on on 104.1 KVDU from 2011 to 2017 first with the 90s based “Gen X Radio” format before segueing to Rhythmic AC and then Hot AC. It has yet to gain traction in the market with the station rising from a 0.5 share to 0.8 in the November Nielsen Audio ratings.
