OnePlus has officially shown off its new “Turbo 6” series of gaming phones while confirming monstrous 9,000 mAh batteries being used in the devices.

Launching on January 8 in China, the OnePlus “Turbo 6” series consists of two gaming phones, the “OnePlus Turbo 6” and the “OnePlus Turbo 6V.” In a teaser video posted on Weibo, OnePlus confirms the somewhat-simple design of the two devices, with the standard “Turbo 6” getting a bit of flair on the back.

This lines up with a recent hands-on leak that showed off what we now know is the “Turbo 6V.”

The teaser also confirms a huge 9,000 mAh battery, which is rumored to appear in both devices.

OnePlus teases the device saying (translated):

The all-new OnePlus Turbo 6 series is coming soon, exploring aesthetics with a light-chasing design and an ultra-transparent texture; extra-large rounded corners, an ultra-thin metal cube design, great feel in any orientation.

Other confirmed specs in the video include 165Hz displays, a Snapdragon “8s” chip in at least one of the devices, and water/dust proofing.

These devices are rumored for a global debut, but it’s unclear when that might happen.
